About Us

We are a family-owned and operated breeding program. Myself (Liz) My husband Wayne and my daughter Katie got started with Dobermans back in 2015 when Katie was a Junior handler. After mentoring with breeders and handlers for over 10 years, we decided to start our own breeding program, and Amity Dobermans was born!

Amity Dobermans is a reputable, preservation breeder and home-based kennel producing Dobermans for the AKC show ring, performance sports (obedience, agility, dock diving, rally, etc.), and as loving companions and family members since 2015. We are located on a beautiful mountaintop in Eastern CT.

All litters come from AKC-registered, fully health-tested parents. The sire and dam of the litters have AKC Championships or other working titles!

We have conformation champions and companion pets who live all over the USA.

All our dogs are health tested for OFA hips, full cardiac workups (echos and annual Holter monitoring), blood panels, liver, kidney, and thyroid panels, plus all DNA testing for VwD, DCM I & DCM II, and coat color DNA. All testing is done through GenSol.

All puppies have had early neurological stimulation, are raised with Puppy Culture, Volhard Temperament tested, graded for conformation, and go home with a written health guarantee and a lifetime of breeder support.

We are in good standing with the American Kennel Club, and Katie is an active member of The Doberman Pinscher Club of America.
